The Halo 3D is an advanced undersuit for membrane drysuits and combines the knowledge of high performance fabrics and in depth understanding of physiology to provide a brilliant thermal undersuit for the most demanding of conditions. The Fourth Element Halo 3D is unique by using a Body Mapping to match different body areas to different thicknesses of insulation which provides warmth but minimises bulk in areas that need mobility. The Halo 3D undersuit is constructed from SpaceTek; a 3 dimensional material that resists compression and therefore provides a consistent 8mm layer of air which minimises heat loss.

Features

SpaceTek Compression Resistant Materials: This 3D material is panelled on the chest, torso, shoulders and thighs to provide constant air layer to minimise heat loss especially when the diver is in horizontal trim. Horizontal trim occurs when the diver is in a horizontal position and the air migrates to the back of the suit which increases pressure on the chest and heat is also lost to the water. Large muscle groups receive a good supply of blood but air migrates into the back of the suit which exposes the muscles to heat loss.
Enhanced Low Bulk Insulation: The forearm has been insulated to provide a warmer blood flow to hands. High density fleece layers have been applied to the crook of the elbow so that there is greater mobility. The kidney region has a larger flow of blood close to the skin surface and the Halo 3D features 2 additional layers of fleece to minimise heat loss to the environment in this area.
