In UK waters and particularly during winter months, a Drysuit is certainly an essential piece of diving equipment any diver could possess. They ensure warmth and comfort whilst extending you dive times and your diving season. This course is an introduction to dry suit diving and helps you develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for dry suit diving. .
Pre-requisites:
Minimum age is 12 and students must hold a PADI Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Open Water Diver or hold a similar qualifying certification from another training organisation. Students must also fill out a PADI medical questionnaire prior to participation.
Course Outline:
The course consists of indepentend study, one confined water session in your dry suit followed by two open water dives. Topics covered include:

Planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of Drysuit diving

Proper procedures for buoyancy control

Ascent and descent technique training

Routine maintenance and performance checks on dry suits.
In practical training you will learn:

How to put on and remove a dry suit with the aid of another diver

How to conduct a buoyancy check

How to demonstrate neutral buoyancy by fin pivot and hover

How to maintain neutral buoyancy when problems occur

How to recover from an inverted position
